Avatar segments - customised - is it coming?

The ability to make our own avatar segments would be beneficial. Right now i often look forward to cycling towards the orange/brown segements just to get the avatar up.
What's the reason behind having segments on certain parts of the ride and not on others? One would think it would be beneficial to have it throughout the ride.....
