There's lens flare in Credit River Forks Fall Colors 2016 – 0174_CA_ON_Road_11.1080.mp4 - at the beginning section. Made it look like you had a dust on the lens or was shooting through the front windscreen.

Ha...good one...yes, Lense hood was (is) actually used.
on that particular video, the problem wass some droplet formed or landed on the lens and was not visible during filming
At least it was not a Lady Bug crawling around on the lense...had to ditch footage for similar issues
