Well. Reading specs for G31 it appears to be very old system with grossly underpowered graphics. We have no means of testing our software on such machines so the best I can recommend is to try with some better hardware.

Using a Dell XPS 7100 with AMD Phenom II X6 1090T processor 3.2 GHz - 8GB ram, I get a 7 second hang when clicking on videos. Resolves spontaneously. No big deal but just thought I'd mention it.

We've since released new update that might have something to do with the problem you experiencing:

Fair warning. In your case it could still be old incompatible card/driver and will not work but it is worth to try. I am also sending it by email just in case

I tried the software on a Dell Optiplex 745 /(4GB ram, onboard graphics, directx 9), I use one as a media center and the latest version as of yesterday. Partial video acceleration is selected and the freeze on the video tab occurred.

I'm happy to allow the machine to be remote controlled if it would help find the problem? the PC runs windows 8.1 Media center perfectly well.

Would be more then willing to help live (here is how: http://veloreality.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=94) however reading the specs for this particular system it lists Intel Graphics 965 which is DX9 only (we use directx 10). So the software will not work on that computer no matter what. Sorry bout that but for various reasons I just could not go with DX9. But even if I did this particular card is too basic/low power to do anything.

BTW Hi Charlie. I remember talking to you few years ago when were were swimming in the same boat So you still more then welcome to pop out for chat on Skype ;)
