Hi, I have bought a Tacx Vortex Smart and updated the firmware for ANT+ FE-C protocol.
Please advise me the settings I have to choose in VR for automatic resistance control.
Device: Tacx Vortex Smart T2180
Garmin Edge800 incl. ANT+ HFR and GSC10 cadance/speed sensor
Suunto Movestick Mini
Thank you.
How to connect Tacx Vortex Smart for auto resistance control
Re: How to connect Tacx Vortex Smart for auto resistance con
1) Plug ANT+ stick to PC and make sure it is recognized by the software, It helps if you use USB extension cable and place the stick close to where your trainer is to avoid/reduce possible loss of transmission. I assume you've already done this step but just in case.
2) Make sure your trainer is powered and the green LED is on.
3) In Settings/ANT+ devices click search, wait till the search is complete (or that your trainer is already found and showing in device list) and see that ANT+ Trainer box is filled with appropriate device ID.

A little note. Suunto stick works but from our experience it is not the best choice. Some of our customers reported problems (mostly signal loss) with those sticks that went away after they changed to ANT USB-m stick. I am not trying to dissuade you here. First try and see if you're happy with Suunto stick.
