Re: Problems using New Version

OK - Skype installed (and finding out how to use!) + TeamViewQS downloaded.
Have sent you a Skype request for contact (Malcolm Pymm Leatherhead) so we can kick things off - not sure when suits you?

Re: Problems using New Version

Since I can use 1.5.0.117 ok and don't have time currently to install Skype etc I will leave this for now. But if you get inspired as to what other changes have just been made that could affect Start/Stop (for a computrainer?), then a fix would be nice. Hopefully somebody else with a computrainer w...

Re: Problems using New Version

The reason I discovered the Stop issue this morning was because I stopped to check my tyre - riding had the same feel a of a worn out tyre; possibly this is also something to do with virtual braking being applied intermittently. Virtual braking only affects "on display" speed. The speed o...

Problems using New Version

This morning I rode on my computrainer after getting the latest Velo Reality software automatically updated. Changes, and problems in bold: 1. The new display with purple was flickering very fast between purple and white (on Ardeche 2 1st major downhill) which was off-putting. Staying the same colou...

Re: Select previous ride

That's great - I nearly asked for 'user configurable' along the lines of your suggestion, but thought a 'user configurable' solution would be rejected. One very satisfied user here - many thanks for a quick response and very workable solution. And the detailed explanation of how segment performances...

Re: Select previous ride

1) The bucket is full and your performance worse than any in bucket. Remove your best performance shift all previous and add new one I appreciate that algorithm works if I am genuinely getting slower and don't want to keep a no-longer-realistic best performance. But the problem with the algorithm i...

Re: Difficulty Index?

Thanks for the code snippet - it all makes sense now. My Excel spreadsheet using your formula gives the same values as on the VR site for 4 climbs I input, including the Mortirolo. Excellent. Now happy that your Mortirolo value was not a mistake. The climbbybike formula is just different from your f...

Re: Difficulty Index?

Thanks for the link to the climbbybike difficulty index formula. I have replicated their calculation in Excel and agree with their results for each of Stelvio, Alpe d'Huez and Mortirolo (the only ones I have tested out). Good. The Velo Reality difficulty index is apparently half of the climbbybike d...

Re: Kudos- data display

I rode this morning and knew something was different with the pointer, and definitely better, but was not sure what. My guess was you had made it thinner. Kept looking at it, thinking that is a lot cleaner.
Now I understand what you really did. Very worthwhile -thanks!
