Re: Video skipping on downhill section
To confirm that it is in fact a too slow video decode problem, you can open W10 Task Manager, select the Performance tab, select the GPU box on the left side and monitor the Video Decode graph while you use a video (you can do this in simulator mode in Video Reality by running it fast). Be sure to s...

Re: Way to eliminate graphics during video playback?
You can use the number pad on your keyboard to get rid or change all or some of them. You can also change the size of the speedometer/HUD display. I have an inexpensive Bluetooth keypad that I mount on my handlebars to do this. You can also get an inexpensive infrared TV remote control to do the sam...

Re: My new favorite (again) software
The software has a few very important qualities. First, it is extremely reliable, stable, and general requires only a modest PC to operate (the main exception being additional video horsepower for 4K videos). Having something that works and is not full of bugs is noteworthy and a big advantage over ...

Re: Recommend my first video
I'm much older than 53, so I tend towards easier rides. But even hillier rides often have long stretches that are flat or relatively easy. The software makes it very easy to select a portion of a video to ride, which I often do. As Admin Kostya says, focusing on scenery makes things enjoyable. There...

Re: Video moving to slow
Thanks for your help. I didn't know there was a user guide. Got it now though. Friction parameters huh? That's a new one on me. I thought that might have been the intention but who knew. I guess if I want to complete that ride in an hour I'd better bust ass then. :D Don't know if you have ridden th...

Re: Cycleops Magnus
As far as I can tell, there isn't any reason it shouldn't work as it is ANT+ FE-C (as well as Bluetooth). It is advertised to work with both Rouvy and Zwift. The Magnus provides power data and resistance control. Not sure if it provides speed, but you need a separate cadence sensor. There are a numb...

Re: Fresh 1-click install of 1.5.0.145 on Win8 hangs at Video tab
Thanks to Poukhov for diagnosing my problem. Even though HD video playback was smooth It looks like my MacMini2,1 with the 2GHZ Core 2 Duo CPU and integrated 950GMA graphics is not powerful enough for the DirectX graphics libraries that VRide relies on. Guess I will have to stick to Rouvy un...

Re: 1.5.0.144 - Dashboard display scale
Nice enhancement. I have an inexpensive Bluetooth numeric keypad that I have mounted on the handlebars with an inexpensive mobile phone holder. I can switch the pad between number and command mode and it works quite well. I enlarge the HUD by 2 or 3 clicks from the default and that is about right on...

Re: Tacx iGenius Connectivity
Guess I am stuck just getting the films through Tacx, which if I am not mistaken are VeloReality films? Just saw a greater set of films and was excited to try them. I have a fair sunk cost in the iGenius so not ready to toss it yet :) Due to the iGenius lack of FE-C, the platforms you can avail you...

Re: Tacx iGenius Connectivity
I think you are correct that the i-Genius (T2021 resistance unit) is not FE-C compliant. Instead, it is an older brake that uses a proprietary ANT protocol to communicate. The Genius Smart is the newer model that uses ANT+ FE-C (as well as Bluetooth). You can convert an i-Genius to a Genius Smart by...
