Re: Ecstasy = Galibier
I also really like that one also. Particularly the snow banks at the top. Haven't ridden it in real life but would love the opportunity. How close did you feel the effort of the simulation was to the real thing taking weather and thin air into account of course? The times I've been up it recently, ...

Ecstasy = Galibier
Totally blown away by the beauty of the Galibier video, specially after the Lautaret, where the gradient kicks. It gets wilder and more spectacular the higher you climb. Loved the left hand corner into the sun, where you almost feel like Pegasus riding into the sky! I've ridden this a few times for ...

Christmas - giving videos as presents
If my friends want to give me videos, what is the best way?
Should they create an a/c, buy, and then I download from their a/c ?
Or shpould they login to my a/c and buy there?
Or do you have a voucher/coupon mechanism?
Thanks!

Re: Feature suggestion: Elevation display
Resurrecting this old thread: Most of us like to climb, so would it be possible to add some altitude fields to the Head Up display? There's space under the speed and energy fields. - Perhaps current altitude or total altitude climbed? - And also rate of climb, or VAM, which I understand is more comp...

Re: Stuttering video
If anyone needs a suggestion for a reliable laptop to host VeloReality, my Lenovo T430 with i5 and Intel HD4000 integrated graphics and videos on an external 2.5 drive streams vidoes completely stutter-free.

Neo cadence sensing and firmware update
This really belongs on the Tacx Neo forum, but people may ask here: If you find the Neo reporting widely varying cadence e.g. 60-100 when pedalling steadily, you are not alone, and it has nothing to do with VR. Just use a Garmin cadence sensor on your crank and VR will pick up a steady cadence. Also...

Re: Generic ANT+ signal drops
The Digikey can take a while to deliver to the UK. While waiting, I found that the Bkool ANT USB key is the same thing. It has the same Digikey writing on it and is indistinguishable from the Digikey. So, if you are in the UK and can't wait, you can get it locally. A shielded 2m USB cable made a dif...

Re: Kudos....what a great RLV player
I'd repeat that - VR makes turbo training actually fun, and is somethingI look forward to after work. The videos are spell-binding and the player has a great interface - I really appreciate the early warning of gradient changes as the line in the top left changes colour.
Thanks - what a great job!

Re: Was a new filming vehicle used for 0073_ES-Almeria?
Yes, the colours are lovely in Autumn and there's no-one around. Your Galibier video from the South taken in Autumn is breathtaking. The Col d'Izoard ascent from the South through the Queyras and Casse Deserte and the Col de Vars from the Ubaye side would be great to have some time... I'm not always...

Re: Was a new filming vehicle used for 0073_ES-Almeria?
I have a home in Embrun (near the Queyras in France) - and wonder if you'd be interested in staying to do some local filming some time? There are a number of beautiful scenic and hilly routes near the lake, as well as classics like the South side climb of the Izoard, the Col de Vars (N & S are b...
